Grammy fashion WTF: The gun arm accessory?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and possibly be one of the only people in the world who utterly loves the cyborg armour that Russian singer Sasha Gravida wore to the Grammys. How insane!
I get that people are just going to sit there and caw about how she's just trying to grab attention and Gaga has been doing it for years and blah blah blah. Personally I think this works for me because I've always had an interest in anime and video-games. I would've styled it with a much tougher outfit, the pink froth is a little too much of a juxtaposition for me.
A few years ago there was a fashion trend toward armour but it never really went anywhere, I recall jeans with shiny, armoured plates on this shins, they weren't very washer friendly. Perhaps this is a revival? Wearing a single glove was ridiculed when Michael Jackson did it but it is an iconic moment in fashion.

Incoming: Bag on Bag trend

This was a trend I noticed emerging a little while ago but now that I've seen some more sites putting their weight behind it, I have more confidence in it. Twinset bags are not entirely crazy so much as it's actually quite useful. A lot of women I see about the city tote two bags around, albeit one of them is often either the large shopping bag of somewhere prestigious and not in Brisbane, (Harrods and Topshop anyone?) and the other is their handbag. Why can't the two of them match for a more chic look?
I'm not so much a fan of the two bags in the same style just in different sizes. I think if you get the smaller one that is certainly a handbag and put it with a larger tote style bag you're onto a winner. Look for the same fabric across two different styles for an easy way to do it. Check out my finds!

Would you wear it? Prada

There are times when I look at what is coming down the catwalks at the big elite fashion shows and can't help but laugh out loud. I think that sometimes they're just trying to come up with the most ridiculous look possible for us to emulate so we can claim we're in fashion, when all we actually do look like is utterly insane and stupid. Take these for example:

Have you ever seen a more WTF moment in fashion? And seen people actually wanting to buy them? Kooky sunnies are OK but who would be caught dead in these?

Another curveball for our sense of fashion? why yes, here we have another pearl from Prada.

No .... just no.

Oh god no!

Office ladies out there, you know the ones, in their perfectly pressed crisp shirts, chic and professional tailored dresses and their chunky, garish sneakers ... Wait a minute!
I don't get it, I just don't. I get that you are doing it for comfort while you get to and from work, but that is when you will be seen by the most people. Do you really want to potentially meet new clients, bosses or boyfriends like this? No matter how groomed your hair is, perfectly applied your make up is, how immaculate your suit is, No one with an iota of fashion sense is going to think you're a well presented person. You might as well wear uggs!
I just can't understand why you don't just wear some cute ballet flats instead. At least that way you still maintain that professional edge while you trapse about town in comfort. A pair of leather flats can look just as chic as heels, and when you feel like that added boost of heels you can still switch them!

Would you wear it? Slips as dresses

90's Style. Love it or hate it's in fashion. Men wearing cardigans, girls are getting about in crop tops, thanksfully not the levi's as well. But what I'm interested in talking about now are slip dresses, and weather they have a place outside of the house.
Slip dresses to me conjure up images of Courtney Love, and more recently the scantily clad (and underaged) Taylor Momsen of late, I'm not all together sure it's a flattering look. Can it be worn in a way that doesn't say trashy?

Taylor Momsen, rightio.
But of course.
Bring it out of the bedroom by wearing it with accessories and clothing that don't make you think bedroom at all. When it comes to items of clothing that normally scream one thing in particular (like how fedoras scream manly mafia) you need to turn it around with something that introduces it to a new genre, otherwise you can look like you've been pulled too far into one trend.
Hats do this quite well with slips, (do you wear hats in bed?) and bare legs, stockings take it back into the bedroom even if they're opaques. Chunky man style watches, Bangles, thick socks, or add a longline chunky cardigan or coat and you're done. It is a piece that realy blends in well with a kooky style of dress sense.
Another good tip is to wear a lighter coloured slip, pale pinks, nudes, whites and pastels will help it look more like a simple summer dress. I don't think this will work if you wear it in a blazing red, a black could be passable but is still in danger of slipping back into "I forgot to put my dress on top of this" territory.

You could also just take the inspiration into your wardrobe and try a dress with lingerie style detailing and features,
 Regatta Polka Dot Dress

So, would you wear it? What would you wear it with? Where to?
